Home Learning
Home Learning
During the school year, the children learn about many new projects. At the start of each project Home Learning, sheets are sent home which gives details of the projects we are studying and how you can help at home.
At regular intervals we invite families into school to share the learning the children have been doing or to invite parents to join in with learning activities alongside them. The children really value these sessions and take a great amount of pride in showing what they have learnt.

Where in the World are you going this Holiday?
At Mortimer St. Mary’s we love receiving postcards from the places you visit during the year. Tell us all about the places you have been, to help us explore the world. We have a lovely display of the postcards that we have been sent, but we need to update and change them regularly to build our world. When writing your postcard, let us know key things about the place you have visited such as the language they speak, what the capital city is called, the food you ate and other interesting and exciting facts. You can send a postcard to school, bring it into school after your holiday or download and fill in the virtual postcard (below). Do not worry, you do not have to leave this country to send us a postcard. We also love finding out about places we can visit in the UK and locally too!
