The Oaks Childcare Clubs

Welcome to The Oaks. We offer breakfast and after school clubs at The Mortimer Federation of St. John’s and St. Mary’s. 

Our Clubs provide a fun, safe place for children to play before and after their school day. We work closely with the schools, parents and children to provide continuity of care and to create an environment that works for each child.

The children can come straight to the after school club or via one of the school-led clubs first. 

Breakfast club costs £6.75 per day, and an after school club session costs £13.25 a day.  We offer a sibling and full time discounted rate of £12.75 a session.

Child-led play: Your child decides whether they want to run around outside, draw with friends or chill out quietly with a book. Our expert staff support children to relax and have fun, whatever their needs or interests.

Healthy food: Breakfasts and after school snacks are healthy and varied.  These include fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt and water.  Our afternoon snacks are available for the children to eat and drink as they choose. We can accommodate any dietary requirements or preferences.

Expert staff: Our team are carefully selected to bring a wide range of skills. Our team have many years of combined professional childcare experience and all have regular updates to their training and development. All staff are subject to enhanced DBS checks prior to employment. 

We facilitate and oversee outside play in all but the most extreme of weather conditions.  Our staff have a positive attitude to the outdoor environment and physical activity. 

Working with Parents

All parents want to know that their child is safe and happy while in our care. Our staff are very experienced in working with children of all ages.  We aim to make their time at the club as relaxing and fun as possible and will spend time getting to know them and what they enjoy doing. 

Often the biggest complaint from our parents is that their child won’t come home because they are having too much fun!

Little Oaks – 7.30am – 8.40am and 3.10pm – 6.00pm

Early Little Oaks breakfast club is held in the Community Centre opposite the school. After having time to play,  we deliver them safely to their classrooms each morning.  

Little Oaks after school club is held in the school hall at Mortimer St. John’s. This helps your child relax in familiar surroundings after a full school day.
