Parents, Teachers and Friends Association
Mortimer Parents, Teachers and Friends
Who We Are
The Parents, teachers and friends association (PTFA) is a small committee made up of parents/carers, staff and the Executive Headteacher. We are a committed and friendly group whose aim is to raise extra funds for the direct benefit of the children at our Mortimer Schools. We do this by organising and running enriching and exciting events for the children and grown-ups throughout the school year!
The PTFA also exists to provide closer links between home and school. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to get involved, from volunteering for an hour at a school disco, to sponsoring stalls at fairs and even building a new PTFA shed!
The PTFA has raised tens of thousands of pounds all of which has been spent on improving equipment, facilities and resources to enhance our children’s education.
The PTFA consists of annually elected officers including a Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. We meet on a regular basis, usually once or twice per term, with smaller groups meeting for larger events such as the Summer Fair, Year 2 & 6 Leavers Party or Colour Run.
If you would like to get involved please email the school office for the attention of the PTFA Co-Chairs Helen & Louise.
