House Captains
House Captains
At Mortimer St. Mary’s & St John’s School every child belongs to one of our four house groups, Earth, Air, Fire or Water. The children compete within their house groups in various competitions throughout the year and are also awarded house points in recognition of achievement in various areas of school life, for example, good manners or completing homework. Awarded house points are accurately counted and recorded each week and count towards the end goal of winning the House Cup at the end of the summer term.
In year 6 children are given the opportunity to become a House Captain. They need to give a campaign speech to their year group and then the year group votes to elect the house captains.
Our current elected house captains are;
Earth – Molly M & Charlotte HAir – Bethan & SophieFire- Jessica & HarryWater – Lily & Rudy
